THE LORD GOES BEFORE YOU
October 15, 2026
Deuteronomy 31:7-8
Today's song: "Whom Shall I Fear?" Chris Tomlin
Today, I am going to speak directly to the fear that is keeping you from doing what you know you are supposed to be doing-the fear that tells you that you are not good enough. I am speaking to the fear that says, "If you do it, you are going against your family and everything you have been taught." You have allowed that spirit of fear to rule for long enough. The Creator of the universe, the One who knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb-He, the Lord, goes before you. You, yes, you, the one reading this right now, have been given an assignment, and you have allowed the fear of the unknown, the fear of rejection, the fear of abandonment and loss to cement you immovably where you stand. Your answer is "yes, but" instead of "YES!" Stop! Take a deep breath and remember who you belong to. The Lord of glory, our Savior and Friend promised to go before us. He promises to be our rear guard, and He has already defeated every enemy. He will never leave or forsake you. He holds you in the palm of His hand.
Father God, thank you for today. Thank you for ordering our steps. Thank you for who you are. Lord, today we only want to thank you. Thank you for being our Lord and Savior. We praise you, Lord. You alone are worthy of all praise. Thank you for giving us the authority to speak to the fear that threatens to stop us from being all You have called us to be. Thank you for going before us. Thank you for being our rear guard. Thank you for stationing your angels around us. Fear, in Jesus' name, you must flee. We renounce you today. We tear down the stronghold in Jesus' mighty name. Fear has no place, and Lord, we replace that fear with faith. We believe you, Lord. We trust you, Lord. Thank you for leading us into all truth. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
In Christ, by His grace alone,
Pastor Trish
