Circumstances Do Not Have The Final Say
October 7, 2026
Each day brings new circumstances. Some are good; some are not. Some days we sit and look at the budget, wonder how it will all work out, and easily get lost in the circumstances. We are counting every penny. We are being obedient in tithes and offerings, and there is a huge red mark at the end of the ledger. A negative, or an amount so low that making it to next payday looks impossible. This is the deciding moment. Do we let what we see dictate how we feel? Do we allow what we see to have the final say? Or do we fall back on what God has said? The Bible is clear in Matthew 6:25-34. Jesus instructs us about anxiety over our needs. He tells us our Father knows we have need of these things: where we will sleep, what we will eat, and what we will wear. And He tells us to seek after him and his kingdom, and these "things" will be added to us. In Philippians 4:19, Paul tells us that God will supply all our needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (KJV) And verses 4-7 tell us about anxiety. Paul knew what it felt like to suffer need, He knew what it was to be hungry, he knew what it felt like to have as we say in the south, more month at the end of the money. And Jesus knew exactly how it felt to look at the foxes and birds and recognize they have homes, but he had no home to call his own, no place to lay his head. Begin today to turn your circumstances back to the Father. Trust Him; He will not fail you. "He is faithful that promised." Believe what he says. He has the final word, not circumstances. Circumstances change. God never will.
Blessings,
Pastor Trish.
